Stephen Tilles, MD

Dr. Tilles is Clinical Professor at the University of Washington, Executive Director of ASTHMA Inc. Clinical Research Center, and Physician Partner at the Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center. He received his medical degree in 1990 from the University of California at San Diego after earning a BA at Harvard in 1982. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1993, and his Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine in Denver in 1995. Before moving to Seattle in 2000, Dr. Tilles spent five years as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and Director of the Allergy and Asthma Clinic at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Tilles splits his time between seeing patients in clinic and working at ASTHMA, Inc. Clinical Research Center, a non-profit clinical research center in Seattle. He has served as Principal Investigator for more than 140 clinical trials, evaluating treatments for asthma, rhinitis, urticaria, and food allergies. Dr. Tilles has been selected on the lists of "Seattle's Best Doctors", "Seattle Super Doctors", "Washington's Best Doctors", and "America's Best Doctors". Dr. Tilles is a Past President of the Western Society of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and the Oregon Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He is currently President of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and serves as a Board member of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
